Eight people were burnt to death, while three others sustained injuries, in a lone accident involving a Mazda bus around Saapade bridge on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, yesterday night.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ahmed Umar disclosed this in a statement, today.
According to him, the accident occurred around 8.45pm on and was caused by tyre burst which made the bus somersault before bursting into flame.
Umar disclosed that 11 people were involved in the accident which comprised three male adults, one female adult, one child and six other unidentified occupants.
“The suspected cause of the lone accident involving the Mazda bus marked AAA 249 VX was tyre burst which led to loss of control then crash and went into flame immediately,” he said.
