4 Injured as Vehicle Somersaults on 3rd Mainland Bridge

Four persons sustained various degrees of injury after the car they travelling in somersaulted on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos in the early hours of today.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the vehicle suffered a tyre burst in motion, as a result of which the driver lost control.

The car consequently hit the road divider before somersaulting.

The scene of the accident

The injured occupants were reportedly pulled out of the wreckage by policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who were patrolling the bridge.

They were subsequently evacuated to the hospital by officials of the Lagos State Emergency Bus Services.
