256 Nigerian Returnees Arrive Lagos from UAE

A total of 256 evacuated Nigerians have arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos from the United Arab Emirates this evening.

The Emirates flight conveying them reportedly touched down at the airport about 7.40pm.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, confirmed their arrival in a tweet.

“The flight conveying 256 Nigerians evacuated from Dubai has landed Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos,” he tweeted.

The returnees had been scheduled to arrive at the airport at 3pm but one of the passengers went into labour forcing the aircraft to return to Dubai.

The evacuees are expected to immediately proceed into 14-day isolation.
