Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has been declared winner in four additional local government areas in Lagos State, as the announcement of results at the state’s collation centre continues into the early hours of today.

The LGs include, Eti-Osa, Kosofe, Amuwo Odofin and Shomolu.

This has brought the number of LGAs won by Labour Party to five, out of the 12 LGAs so far declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The party had earlier been declared winner in Ikeja local government area.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, merged victorious in the remaining seven LGAs, including, Lagos Mainland, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Badagry and Agege.

Reports monitored on TV showed that the LP won 42,388 votes in Eti-Osa to defeat APC which got 15,317 and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which got 3,369.

In Kosofe LGA, LP won 46,554 votes to defeat APC which won 36,883 votes and PDP which got 4,058 votes.

In Amuwo Odofin LGA, LP won 55,547 votes to defeat APC which won 13,318 votes.

Also in Shomolu LGA, LP won 28,936 votes to defeat APC which won 27,879 votes.
