2019 Election: Group Plans Door to Door Campaign for Atiku in Lagos

A political group in Lagos is set to embark on a door-to-door campaign towards the emergence of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as the President of Nigeria in 2019.

Calling on Nigerians to cast their votes for Atiku, the Lagos State chapter of the group known as All Voters for Atiku 2019, at the weekend, unveiled banners and campaign slogans that will usher them into a statewide rally to garner support and votes for the PDP presidential candidate.

The Lagos State coordinator of the group, Engr. Barnabas Oyowe announced before the teeming supporters at the National Theatre complex, Iganmu that, “Nigeria needs Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to revamp the economy and eradicate unprecedented hunger in the country. We believe he is the only aspirant that has the boldness, the wherewithal and wealth of experience to take the country out of the mess the APC government has thrown the country into.”

Speaking on why the group is throwing its weight behind Atiku, the publicity secretary for the group Dr Benjamin Onolo said, “We are a self-sponsored group. We have not received a dime from anybody to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. We see him as the only aspirant that is viable, fit and proper to pilot the affairs of the country. We have members spread all over the 8855 wards in Lagos. We are planning a door to door campaign for Alhaji Abubakar to emerge victorious in 2019.”
