Two secondary school teachers with the Lagos State government have been charged to court for alleged sexual abuse of seven of their students.
The accused, Oke Mustapha and Yisau Musibau, are teachers at Nazareth Junior and Senior College, Epe.
They were arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate’s Court, on Friday, alongside a female traditional birth attendant, Abimbola Adesanmi, accused of attempting to abort the pregnancy of one of the victims.
Newsmakers was unable to get further details of the proceedings.
But, speaking on the allegations against the accused persons earlier, on Thursday, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi, said the duo confessed to the crime, while being interviewed by a Personnel Management Board set up to investigate the allegation.

He said the students, who were the ones that first reported the incident, have also submitted written statements to the police on the allegations.
Odeyemi added that government had also ordered a comprehensive medical examination of the victims to aid the investigation.
