Governor Seyi Makinde made this known via Twitter today.

iSON Xperiences provides customer care services for some telecoms companies in the country.

A total of 89 confirmed COVID-19 cases have now been recorded in the company.

Makinde had first confirmed 30 COVID-19 positive cases for the company on Saturday, and by Thursday the number of cases in the said company had risen to 78.

Makinde said, “Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE. Eleven cases are from iSON Xperiences. The other two cases are from Afijio and Ibadan North East Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 203.”

The governor also said one person was discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 49.

“Remember, many COVID-19 cases are asymptomatic. So, it is important to wear your face masks in public places, practice social distancing, and wash your hands with soap and water regularly,” the governor further stated.
