The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized counterfeit wines worth over ₦41.2 million in a major raid on wine shops across Mararaba Market, New Nyanya, and Masaka in Nasarawa State.
The operation, announced in a tweet by NAFDAC, targeted the sale of adulterated wines and spirits in the area.
The agency’s Investigation & Enforcement team is now pursuing leads to identify the importers or manufacturers responsible for these illegal products.
NAFDAC also issued a warning, urging consumers to stay vigilant and report any suspicious products to their nearest NAFDAC office for swift action.
